The New Daily Benefits

My Daily Benefits will have its birthday in April. This little blog will be eight years old. Looking back over the last eight years and seeing how God’s hand has moved in our lives has been amazing. What started for a faith-broken woman as an outlet has become so much more. I am happy to report that my faith has been repaired and strengthened through the Lord Jesus Christ – and I am in a much better headspace than I was eight years ago.

The Lord has grown us from a little couple with a doggie, to a family of four, with a doggie and three cats. I may be developing “cat lady” tendencies – pray for me! LOL. We have also been a zoo to multiple fish, two rabbits, a hamster, and a frog or two. It has definitely been a wild ride. We have gone from New Parents (praying we don’t kill them), to parents of seven year olds. Both girls have accepted Christ and one Baptism (one is terrified of going under water). Suffice it to say, A LOT has taken place of the last eight years.

Howbeit for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, for a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Timothy 1:16-17

Given all the changes, on must change with it. Thus the New Daily Benefits. Life with twin girlies, preaching husband, and the other many things that have fallen to my plate – I am praise-fully here to say, I am not the same woman I was eight years ago. Therefore this blog cannot be what it was back then either. Welcome to the New Daily Benefits! Still a beloved landing space for the Benefits loaded up from God’s Word and still a place to share all the things I love.

Join me on this journey of newness. A journey of loading up and living a life pleasing to God and putting aside those things that do not. We will be revisiting posts of yesteryear, some updated, some the way they were, but today, more than ever, the goal is to bring honour and glory to God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
